Understanding the Revit link

The TeamWork with Revit provides the following functionality:

TeamWork can synchronize property values automatically at key events in a document’s life cycle and manually using commands in the TeamWork client applications and provided by an add-in installed in Revit. The synchronization events are determined by the document’s type, as described in Configuring title block updates. You configure the Revit link by specifying:

Property editing in Revit does not require any configuration. Presentation file import requires minor document type configuration.

The Revit link supports worksharing by detecting when a local copy of a model is synchronized with the central file in the vault.

The link will:

Worksharing configuration specifies the applicable TeamWork property names and option settings.

You configure the Revit link by editing an INI-like text file that is stored in a hidden area of the vault. The file can be edited in Configurator as described in the following topics.
